Being a communications major here at High Point University, I got to sign up for an opportunity to help out earlier this year. I was the sideline cameraman for HPU’s 4-1 defeat in men’s soccer against Elon. I enjoyed every part of the experience, even though it was just holding a camera in the cold for 90 minutes. I met Michelle Manzo there who gave the rundown for what to do, handed me my camera and sent me onto the field to set up. I made sure to get good video of all the goals scored, hustling up and down the sideline to get the shot. After it was all over every position (director included) helped with the packing up of all the equipment and after that my work was done. I enjoyed being involved and I plan to continue to sign up for events in the future.
